Dr. David Forrest

dforestDavid Forrest is Professor of Economics in the University of Salford, UK. He divides his research activity between sports economics and the economics of gambling. Since 2000, he has published more than 50 articles in refereed journals, covering a range of topics such as demand modelling for lotteries, the efficiency of betting markets, gambling prevalence among teenagers, and the threat to sport from betting-related corruption. He has co-authored reports for government and international agencies and advises the UK Gambling Commission about research on gambling-related harm. He is a frequent commentator on gambling issues for UK and international radio and television.
