Dr. Rebecca Cassidy

cassidyRebecca Cassidy is a Professor of Anthropology at Goldsmiths, University of London. She has published three books about horseracing including Sport of Kings: kinship, class and thoroughbred breeding in Newmarket (CUP, 2002) and the Cambridge Companion to Horseracing (CUP, 2013). She is principle investigator of GAMSOC (2010-2014) a multisited project which uses anthropological methods and theories to explore gambling in Europe.
